Westbrook Police Incident Report for Feb. 20 and 21

The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Monday, Feb. 20Tuesday, Feb. 21Senior correspondent Jason J. Marchi compiles the Police Incident Report.

    • No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.

    • A 27 year-old man of South Kingston, Rhode Island was arrested at 10:45 p.m. on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice. He was processed and held in lieu of a $100,000 surety bond pending presentation at Middletown Superior Court.

    • An 18 year-old Madison man was issued a citation at 10:30 a.m. for traveling unreasonably fast after he lost control of the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee he was operating westbound on Flat Rock Road near the mall. He failed to negotiate a sharp right turn due to his speed, crossed the roadway, hit a curb, and rolled over. The operator—the vehicle’s sole occupant—was transported by Westbrook Ambulance to the Middlesex Shoreline Clinic after complaining of wrist and back pain. The vehicle was towed from the scene by American Auto.
