Mystic man killed in North Stonington crash

North Stonington -- A Mystic man was killed late Saturday night when the pickup truck he was driving on Route 184 struck a tree.

Stephon Hodge, 21, of 117 Hewitt Road, was taken to Westerly Hospital where he died. His passenger, Carston Logan, 17, of 19 Sherwood Drive, Stonington, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

Police said Hodge was driving east on Route 184 near Stillman Road at 11:10 p.m. when he crossed into the westbound lane, left the road, went up an embankment and then hit a tree.

State police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Gardner at Troop E at (860) 848-6500.
