Juvenile on bike hit by a car Friday in New London

New London — A juvenile on a bicycle was hit by a car Friday afternoon.

The juvenile did not appear to have sustained any life-threatening injuries, according to police.

About 5:45 p.m., the police and fire department were dispatched to respond to a call around West Coit Street and Connecticut Avenue. Upon arrival, the police found both the juvenile and the involved vehicle. The juvenile then was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The accident remained under investigation.
