Plainfield — A New London motorcyclist suffered what police are calling "serious physical injuries" in a Saturday afternoon crash.

Police, along with the Plainfield Fire Department and American Legion Ambulance Corps, responded to the crash on Spaulding Road around 4:48 p.m.

Police said their initial investigation found that Ernest Carrion III, 40, was driving his motorcycle south on Spaulding Road when he went off the road and struck a stone wall.
