    Groton City

    Paul G. Mazzella, 42, of 48 Forest St., No. 1, was charged Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance.

    James A. Avery Jr., 45, of 11 High St., No. 3, was charged Tuesday with violation of a protective order.

    Groton Town

    Jean Luis Arias-Espinal, 18, of 4 Roseway St., New London, was charged Friday with breach of peace and unlawful restraint.

    Peter J. Hary, 46, of 973 Shewville Road, Ledyard, was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility and failure to drive in proper lane.

    Chad L. Morgan, 44, of 536 Shewville Road, Ledyard, was charged Wednesday with breach of peace.

    New London

    Daniel A. Lara, 34, of 16 Fitch Ave. was charged Thursday with criminal mischief.

    Charles Petchark, 51, of 4 Josan Drive, Waterford, was charged Thursday with possession of narcotics and sale of narcotics.

    Santos Tomas Barralga-Duarte, 38, of 101 Blackhall St. was charged Thursday with interfering with police, fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

    Eldin Duardes, 47, 101 Blackhall St., Apt. 2, was charged Thursday with second-degree threatening, breach of peace, carrying a dangerous weapon, reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor.

    Luis G. Barrera-Bermeo, 19, of Old Saybrook was charged Wednesday with driving with a suspended license and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

    Johnathan Ortiz, 19, of 24 Grove St. was charged Wednesday with second-degree larceny.

    Waterford

    Casey Roark, 39, of 210 Elm St., New London, was charged Thursday with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to have insurance and failure to drive in the proper lane on a multiple-lane highway.
