Gas leak forces evacuation of Montville neighborhood

Montville — A neighborhood near Montville High School was evacuated for safety reasons due to a gas leak Tuesday afternoon.
The gas leak was secured by 5:10 p.m., according to Mayor Ronald McDaniel.
McDaniel said a cable company doing work had hit a gas line. He said Eversource and first responders arrived on scene.
"There's no immediate danger to the public," he said.
The streets involved were Cottonwood Lane and Amanda Court.
