    Norwich man charged with manslaughter in April 2020 double-fatal crash

    Norwich — A Norwich man was arrested on manslaughter and other charges stemming from a fatal crash that killed two occupants of another vehicle on April 24, 2020, on West Main Street.

    Cameron A. Barnhill, 25, of 59 School St., basement apartment, was charged on a warrant at 10 a.m. Tuesday with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a suspended license or registration and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was held on a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear June 17 in Norwich Superior Court.

    Norwich police said Barnhill was involved in a three-car crash at 208 W. Main St. that resulted in the deaths of two occupants in another vehicle.

    Barnhill was served with the warrant at Norwich Superior Court on Tuesday. According to court records, he faces numerous motor vehicle violation charges, drug possession charges, burglary and other charges in separate incidents since 2018.
