Norwich — Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a man on Bath Street early Thursday morning.

Police said they received numerous calls at 3:30 a.m. that there was a body on the side of Bath Street. Police and medical responders discovered a deceased male lying face-down on the side of the street.

Police said in a news release issued Thursday morning that the incident is being deemed an accidental fall from a building rooftop adjacent to the parking garage of the Wauregan apartment building.

Evidence on scene does not indicate any foul play, police said. Norwich Police Detective Division is continuing the investigation, and no further details will be released at this time.
