GRT holds ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ auditions

Groton Regional Theatre (GRT) will be holding auditions for the Tennessee Williams drama "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 14, and Wednesday, July 16, at the auditorium in the Groton Senior Center auditorium, 102 Newtown Road (Route 117).

The classic play, written in 1955 and revised by Williams in 1974, centers around a Mississippi family in turmoil as it grapples with the illness of patriarch Big Daddy Pollitt, a wealthy cotton tycoon.

Performances will be Oct. 3-19, with shows at 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat. and 2 p.m. Sun. The play will be directed by Vic Panciera. For more information, call (860) 446-1363.
