Ah, what a catalog of songs!

Consider: “That’ll Be The Day.” “Peggy Sue.” “Rave On.” “Everyday.” “Oh Boy.”

Buddy Holly’s life was short — he was only 22 when he died in a plane crash in 1959 — but his legacy has a long reach.

Those tunes, along with a portrayal of his amazing story, are featured in the stage musical “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story,” which plays the Garde Arts Center on Sunday. It’s part of the Broadway Live at the Garde” series.

“Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story,” 4 p.m. Sunday, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London; $42-$72; (860) 444-7373, gardearts.org.
