Jerry Seinfeld to perform at Foxwoods
Everyone always talks about how seminal Jerry Seinfeld’s sitcom was.
But let’s also not forget how much fun his “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” was.
It was a simple concept described succinctly in its title. Seinfeld drives a vintage car to pick up a different comic each episode. They go have coffee. Because they’re comics, the conversation is hilarious. And often insightful, although Seinfeld (whose sitcom credo was “No learning, no hugging”) might be loath to admit that.
Those episodes are a window into how quick-witted Seinfeld is. That expertise will be on display when he performs his standup Saturday at Foxwoods. As of press time, the show was sold out, so here’s hoping you bought tickets.
Jerry Seinfeld, 8 p.m. Saturday, Premier Theater, Foxwoods; sold out; foxwoods.com.
