Flock Theatre is holding auditions for its 2023 summer season of two Shakespeare plays, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Henry IV pt 2.”

This year marks a return to William Shakespeare’s work for Flock, after a pandemic-induced hiatus, as well as a return to the Connecticut College Arboretum in New London and Wilcox Park in Westerly.

The production of “Henry IV pt 2” is a continuation of Flock’s “War of the Roses” series started in 2016 and another show toward the company’s goal of producing every one of Shakespeare’s plays. To date, the company has produced 22 of the approximately 39 total plays.

Auditions will be held in-person by appointment only, on Feb. 13, 23 and 28.

Auditioners do not need to attend multiple days, just one. Zoom auditions are possible by request. Time slots will be available both during the day and evening and will last about 10-15 minutes.

Auditioners will be provided sides from the plays. No monologue preparation necessary. Actors of all ages and experience are welcome.
