The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s jam-packed summer season is culminating with the Cabaret & Performance Conference. Performances begin Aug. 2 and continue through Aug. 12 on the center’s Waterford campus.

Among the many highlights are an Aug. 8 show by Alice Ripley, who starred on Broadway in “Next to Normal” (for which she won a Tony), “Side Show,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “The Rocky Horror Show.” Joining her on piano will be John McDaniel, the Emmy and Grammy winner who also happens to be the conference’s artistic director.

Another Broadway luminary, Alton Fitzgerald White, will perform on Aug. 4. He has starred on Broadway in “Ragtime” and “The Color Purple” and played more than 4,300 shows as King Mufasa in “The Lion King.” He’ll be accompanied by Doyle Newmyer on piano.
