UConn, CBS Sports Network set times for all six football home games

All six UConn football home games will be televised on CBS Sports Network this fall, with the national outlet also producing a pair of away games, the UConn athletic department announced on Wednesday.

The good news for UConn fans planning to attend home games at Rentschler Field is that the starting times for all six games have been set in advance.

The 2021 home opener, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4 against Holy Cross, will kick at noon, while the game against Purdue the following Saturday (Sept. 11) will start at 3 p.m. In addition, the Saturday, Sept. 25 game against Wyoming is set for 3:30 p.m., the Yale game on Saturday, Oct. 16, will start at noon, and the home finale against Houston on Saturday, Nov. 27 will also kick off at noon.

The Huskies, playing their first season as an FBS independent, will play one Friday night game at home against Middle Tennessee on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m.

"CBS Sports is a great partner for our football program not only because of the national exposure it will receive but also because our fans now have the opportunity to plan ahead in more complete fashion," athletic director David Benedict said in a release. "For the first time in years, UConn football fans know kick times for each home game, and we hope this will make it easier for more people to join us at Rentschler Field this fall."

In addition, CBS Network will air the 2021 season opener at Fresno State on Saturday, Aug. 28 at a time to be determined and the Saturday, Sept. 18 game at Army at noon.

Times and television information for Saturday road games at Vanderbilt (Oct. 2), UMass (Oct. 9), Clemson (Nov. 13) and Central Florida (Nov. 20) will be announced later.

"I'm very excited about our partnership with CBS Sports and to have all our home game starting times this early is great for our team and our fan base as we all make plans for an exciting 2021 season," head coach Randy Edsall said.

Season tickets are available for renewal or purchase now, and the priority deadline is June 18. For more information visit UConn.Football.
