Shoreline Gymnastics of Old Saybrook competed at the Turkey Tumble at Pomeraug High School in Southbury on November 10th and 11th.

All Prep Opt teams were represented. The novice team including Emma Anderson (Pawcatuck), Catherine Saucier (Waterford), Chloe Scott (Madison), Chole Folts (Essex), Rachel Reed (Old Saybrook), Meghan Lewis (Madison), Haley Mahon (Lyme), Hope Femia (Old Lyme) and Abby Walton (Madison) placed fourth as a team. Strong individual performances on vault included Emma Anderson (first) and Rachel Reed (second); bars Emma Anderson (second), Catherine Saucier (third) and Rachel Reed (third); beam Rachel Reed (tied for second) and Emma Anderson (third); floor Chloe Scott (second) and Meghan Lewis (tied for third); and all around Emma Anderson (second) and Rachel Reed (third).

The intermediate team including Sarah Cartelli (Ivoryton), Caroline Petchark (Waterford), Grace McLaughlin (Old Saybrook), Caroline Crowell (Ivoryton), Grace DeVries (East Haddam), Isabella Donohue (Old Saybrook), Cassi Morrison (East Lyme) and Tammi Welge (Old Saybrook) placed second as a team. Strong individual performances on vault included Grace McLaughlin (first), Sarah Cartelli (second), Tammi Welge (second), Caroline Petchark (tied for third) and Isabella Donohue (tied for third); bars Caroline Petchark (first), Grace McLaughlin (second) and Sarah Cartelli (third); beam Caroline Croweli (first), Sarah Cartelli (second), Grace McLaughlin (third) and Tammi Welge (third); floor Sarah Cartelli (tied for first) and Caroline Petchark (tied for first); and all around Sarah Cartelli (first), Caroline Petchark (second), Grace McLaughlin (third) and Tammi Welge (third).

The advanced team including Noelle Bergere (Madison), Becca Anderson (Madison) and Lauren LaChapelle (Madison) placed first as a team. Strong individual performances on vault included Noelle Bergere (second) and Becca Anderson (third); bars Becca Anderson (first) and Noelle Bergere (second); beam Noelle Bergere (first) and Lauren LaChapelle (third); floor Noelle Bergere (third); and all around Noelle Bergere (second) and Becca Anderson (third).

Levels 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 were also represented. The Level 4 team included Helena Gernhardt (Old Saybrook), Emily Smith (Clinton), Madeline Fraser (East Lyme) and Abigail Maynard (Waterford). Strong individual performances for Level 4 on vault included Helena Gernhardt (second), Emily Smith (tied for second) and Madeline Fraser (tied for second); bars Helena Gernhardt (first) and Madeline Fraser (third); floor Madeline Fraser (tied for third); and all around Helena Gernhardt (second).

The Level 5 team included Meghan Kapij (Old Saybrook), Megan Cravinho (Old Lyme), Madeline SanMarco (Madison) and Amanda Rowe (Waterford). The Level 5 team placed well in all the events including fourth and fifth on vault, bars, beam, floor and all around.

The Level 6 team including Addison Marchese (Essex), Elizabeth Cravinho (Old Lyme), Alexandra Bishop (Old Saybrook) and Haley Smith (Clinton) placed 4th as a team which is exceptional as only three scores count and four Shoreline Level 6 girls competed. Strong individual performances on vault included Elizabeth Cravinho (first) and Addison Marchese (third); bars Elizabeth Cravinho (first) and Addison Marchese (third); beam Addison Marchese (second) and Alexandra Bishop (third); floor Addison Marchese (tied for second); and all around Addison Marchese (first).

The Level 7 team included Erin Naclerio (Madison) and Kate Ryan (East Haddam). Strong individual performances on vault included Erin Naclerio (third); bars Kate Ryan (second); beam Erin Naclerio (first) and Kate Ryan (third); floor Erin Naclerio (first) and Kate Ryan (third); and all around Erin Naclerio (third).

The Level 8 team including Abby McGuirk (Madison), Katie Seegert (Old Saybrook), Kylie McCarthy (Old Lyme) and Morgan Staehle (Oakdale) placed first as a team.
