Chantell Disco, 21, of New London lived with roughly a dozen foster and adoptive families from around the state growing up leading to a troubling period in her teen years where at one point she attempted suicide. Now, having turned her life around, Disco has started a motivational speaking business for herself, trying to help other teens in the foster care system, a performance from which landed her on the stage at the 2019 New London Youth Talent Show.
