Police investigate complaint about home health care aide, arrest woman

Ledyard — A 29-year-old woman was charged with third-degree larceny on Tuesday after a complaint that a home health care aide had removed personal belongings from a residence.

The Ledyard Police Department began investigating after receiving a complaint on April 4 that items were being removed from a residence on Long Cove Road, according to a department news release.

An arrest affidavit was sent to New London Superior Court.

The East Hartford Police Department then contacted Melissa R. Korakis, 29, of an unlisted address, and held her for Ledyard police.

She was held on a $500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
