Jeff Dunham performs at Mohegan Sun

A 56-year-old man who talks to himself and plays with puppets — what possibly could be funny about that? Actually, a lot. Jeff Dunham has attracted so many audience members over the years that he is the Guinness World Record holder for “Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour.”

Dunham is bringing his new tour and endless (often risqué) jokes to the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday. He will, of course, bring his puppets — Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Peanut, Walter, José Jalapeno on a Stick and Bubba J — to life. Dunham tops the list as the greatest ventriloquists of all time, with other big names from past and present — Terry Fator and Edgar Bergen — trailing him.

And audience members should expect an energized show, since Mohegan Sun is just the second stop on the new tour.

Jeff Dunham Passive Aggressive Tour, 8 p.m. Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $50-$60; 1-800-745-3000.
