Chicago Sky center Sylvia Fowles added her name to the WNBA record book Friday night at the expense of the Connecticut Sun.

Fowles had 24 points and a career-high 22 rebounds to lead Chicago past Connecticut, 86-75, before 6,607 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

Fowles' 20-20 game was the 13th in WNBA history and first since Los Angeles' Nneka Ogwumike had 22 points and 20 rebounds last July 12. She finished two rebounds short of the record set by Chamique Holdsclaw in 2003.

"Sylvia got off to a quick start," Sun coach Anne Donovan said. "When you're on the road, I think it's really important to get off to a good start defensively, and I don't think we did that."

Sky rookie Elena Delle Donne added 20 points for the Sky (2-0) and Epiphanny Prince added 17 points.

Allison Hightower matched a career-high with 20 points for the Sun (1-1), and reigning league MVP Tina Charles had 16 points and 15 rebounds. Kara Lawson added 11 points.

"We have a bunch of fighters, and I know we can play better," Donovan said.

"I know we're looking forward to the next time we play them again. Right now, it's a chess match to try and figure them out. They're different with Delle Donne in the lineup."

Sun guard Renee Montgomery suffered a left ankle sprain in the fourth quarter and is listed as day-to-day.
