    Police Issue Alert after Weekend Burglary

    On Oct. 26 at 4:30, a resident of Ridge Road, Madison, became the victim of a distraction burglary. A Hispanic male approached the homeowner claiming that he was performing tree work in the neighborhood. While this individual was engaging the homeowner in conversation, an unknown person entered the dwelling through an open garage door into the basement. Cash was taken from inside the residence.

    The Hispanic male is described as 25 years old, 5’06” tall, with a thin build and bushy hair. At the time, he was wearing a dark colored wind-breaker and jeans. He was observed driving a newer-model dark colored (possibly grey) pick-up truck.

    Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Madison Police Department at 203-245-2721.

    Madison residents are urged to keep doors and windows locked, even when home. Residents are also asked to contact the Madison Police Department to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
