    Coast Guard Ban to perform Dec. 9

    New London — The United States Coast Guard Band Chamber Players perform Dec. 9, 2 p.m., in Leamy Concert Hall at the Coast Guard Academy.

    The program, “Winter Winds,” features diverse works from many musical genres. Musician First Class Nathan Lassell performs two Gavottes on marimba and Musician First Class Charlie Suriyakham performs Clarinet Concerto with the Coast Guard Band rhythm section.

    The concert also includes a high energy reed quintet “Circusmuziek,” featuring oboist Chief Musician Barrett Seals, clarinetists Musician First Class Noel Marcano and Musician First Class Christopher Howard, saxophonist Musician First Class Jeff Emerich and bassoonist Musician First Class Tom Reynolds.

    This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.
