    Mystic River Chorale performs requiems

The program for the Mystic River Chorale and Orchestra's Sunday concert boasts two requiems: Gabriel Fauré's renowned Requiem and Craig Phillips' little-known Dies Gratiae: Requiem Reflections. The latter features original English text by John Thornburn.

The chorale will be joined by guest soloists soprano Ellen Sisson and baritone Thomas Woodman, as well as choirs from Montville High School and Ella T. Grasso Technical High School.

The chorale's artistic director, Frank Martignetti, will conduct. He was recently a finalist for The American Prize in conducting for his work with the Mystic River Chorale.

Mystic River Chorale, 3 p.m. Sunday, Harkness Chapel, Connecticut College, New Londno; snow date is 7 p.m. Jan. 18; $25 adults, $20 seniors, $15 students, $5 kids under 12; tickets at the door or in advance at (860) 460-1487 or by emailing chorus_manager@mysticriverchorale.org.
