No? Then what the devil is Edward Arron doing in Old Lyme for a Musical Masterworks concert?

Well, it seems as though Tessa Lark had the brilliant idea – in this, her first season as MM artistic director – to close out a triumphant 2022-23 campaign by bringing back longtime former director Arron. As a member of the Ehnes Quartet, Arron will perform concerts Saturday and Sunday in the First Congregational Church in Old Lyme. Violinist James Ehnes heads the group, with Arron on cello, Amy Schwartz Moretti on violin and Che-Yen Chen on viola.

The ensemble will undertake Haydn’s String Quartet in F minor, Op. 20 No. 5, Bartok’s String Quartet No. 6, Sz. 114 and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in E minor, Op. 44 No. 2.
