State police investigating untimely death in Lisbon

Lisbon — State police said detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad are investigating the untimely death of an unidentified individual who was found deceased in the woods on Saturday.

According to the police report, troopers from the Troop E barracks in Montville responded about 1:40 p.m. in the area of 151 River Road for the report of the deceased individual.

Police said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct a post-mortem examination to find out the cause and manner of death and assist in identifying the individual.

Police ask anyone with information to call detectives at Troop E at (860) 848-6500 or text TIP711 with any information to 274637. Police said calls and texts will remain confidential.
