Inmate charged with throwing feces at officer

Montville — An inmate at Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Institution threw his feces at a correctional officer on Tuesday, state police said in an incident summary.
The inmate, Maurice Snowden, allegedly refused to leave his cell for questioning and processing when state police arrived. He has been charged with assault of public safety personnel and failure to comply with fingerprint requirements.
Snowden, 34, will be arraigned on July 12.
According to court records, Snowden was sentenced in 2014 to 54 years in prison, on a murder conviction. He had been found guilty of killing Michael Taylor in Hartford in 2011.
