Woman wanted in wallet theft at Norwich Walmart

Norwich — A woman allegedly stole another person's wallet from Walmart in Norwich, police said.

The wallet accidentally had been left behind at the self-checkout register by another shopper at the Walmart at 220 Salem Turnpike, according to Norwich police.

Police released a surveillance photo of the woman, who allegedly stole the wallet about 10:25 a.m. on Feb. 15. Anyone who can identify the woman or has any information is asked to contact police at (860) 886-5561.
