Norwich — St. Bernard beat No. 6 Lyman Memorial 7-3 in the quarterfinals of the Eastern Connecticut Conference baseball tournament on Wednesday night at Dodd Stadium.

No. 3 Saints (18-3) also won the ECC Division IV title thanks to Wheeler’s 10-1 loss to Fitch and Lyman’s loss. The three finished the regular season tied and the team that advanced the deepest in the ECC tournament wins the tiebreaker. The Saints play No. 2 East Lyme in the semifinals on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Zion Fraser started for the Saints, his first appearance on the mound since Tommy John surgery a year ago. He pitched two scoreless innings, allowing two hits. Martin Light earned the win in relief. He went five innings and allowed seven hits.

Fraser had two hits for St. Bernard. Alex Ortiz had two hits and drove in two runs and Isaac Cone doubled and scored a run for Lyman.

In other games:

• Alex Dreyfus pitched a three-hitter as No. 2 East Lyme beat N0. 10 Waterford 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the ECC tournament. Dreyfus struck out five and walked five. John Bureau singled, doubled, drove in a run and scored a run for the Vikings (18-3) and teammate Connor Tukey had two hits. Matt Shampine pitched a five-hitter for Waterford (13-9), striking out six with no walks and allowing one earned run.

• Top seed Woodstock Academy beat No. 8 Bacon Academy 5-1 in the quarterfinals of the ECC tournament. Kaden Murphy pitched six innings for the win for the Centaurs (18-3), who play No. 13 Fitch in the semifinals. Chris Lusignan had two hits for Bacon (12-10).

• Grasso Tech advanced to the Connecticut Technical Conference tournament final with a 10-6 win over top-seeded Wilcox Tech. The No. 4 Eagles (12-10) will play No. 2 Abbott Tech in the tournament final on Friday at Palmer Field in Middletown at 6 p.m.

Gabe Grossman pitched 6.1 innings for the win, allowing eight hits with four strikeouts. Reynaldo Hidalgo was 3-for-3 with three RBI and a two-run single in the first inning for Grasso. Jaivon Velez and Grossman had two hits each and Gabriel Castillo drove in two runs for the Eagles.

Girls’ tennis

• Old Lyme’s Alexis Fenton and Livie Bass won the Shoreline Conference doubles championship on Tuesday at Morgan School. Fenton and Bass defeated Aggie Hunt and Beatrice Hunt 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 in an all-Old Lyme championship match (the Hunt sisters were seeded fourth), while the Wildcats’ Sam Tan reached the 1-2 singles final before losing to Coginchaug’s Piper Remillard 6-2, 6-0.

Remillard defeated another Old Lyme player, Elaine Morosky, in the semifinals. In addition, the Wildcats’ Callie Bass won the 3-4 singles championship with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over teammate Katherine Zhang int he final.

Following the tourney, Fenton, Livie Bass, Callie Bass, Zhang, Tan, Aggie Hunt, Beatrice Hunt and Morosky were named to the All-Shoreline Conference first team with Izzy Reynolds and Natalie Buckley earning honorable mention status.

Girls’ track

• Old Lyme’s Chase Gilbert won three events, one in record fashion, as the Wildcats finished third in the Shoreline Conference meet at East Hampton. Gilbert, a freshman, set the meet record in the 1600 with a time of 4:57.59. She also won the 800 (2:18.48) and 3200 (11:36.93).

Also winning titles for Old Lyme were Zoe Eastman-Grossel and Tabitha Colwell. Eastman-Grossel won the 100 hurdles in 15.5 and Colwell won the long jump at 15-3. They made all-conference by winning their events along with Gilbert and the 4x800 relay team of Lyla Powers, Kate Walsh, Gillian Mileswki and Maddy Morgado, who won in 10:01.54.

Boys’ track

• Old Lyme finished fifth in the Shoreline Conference meet at East Hampton but had two individual winners. Jacob Volkerts won the 100 with a time of 10.93 and Dylan Sheehan won the shot put with a put of 53-7.75. They both made all-conference with the wins.

Boys’ volleyball

• NFA fell to Wolcott Tech in the semifinals of the Connecticut Volleyball League tournament. Wolcott won 25-22, 25-19, 25-15. Gage Hinkley had seven kills, six digs and four blocks, Paul Ericson had 17 assists, six digs and three kills and Keegan Johnston had five kills and 10 digs for NFA (14-7).

Boys’ golf

• Wheeler beat Bacon Academy 5-2 to improve to 15-1. Tyler Signor of Wheeler was the medalist with a 2-over-par 37 at Chanticlair Golf Course. Gavin Arruda and David Levanto also won their matches for the Lions. Alex Gallardo (38) and Robert June won for Bacon (6-6).

Girls’ golf

• East Lyme girls lost to Valley Regional 236-242 in a nonleague match. Mary Haburay led the Vikings with a 53 and teammate Georgia Anglin shot a 62
