    H.S. lacrosse roundup: Waterford girls win battle of unbeatens vs. Old Lyme

    Waterford — Katie Jamroga scored three goals and Quinn Brigham, Adyson Wiseman and Sadie Tiven added two apiece as the Waterford High School girls’ lacrosse team remained undefeated Saturday with a 10-6 victory over Old Lyme.

    Brigham and Tiven were credited with two assists each and Clara Mahoney made four saves in goal for the Lancers (5-0).

    Sydney Goulding scored four goals for Old Lyme (4-1).

    In other games:

    • Glastonbury defeated East Lyme 8-6. Gianna DiLoreto had three goals and two assists for East Lyme (3-4) and Cassidy O’Brien had two goals and two assists.

    • Keshvi Patel scored five goals in New London/St. Bernard’s 14-9 loss to Jonathan Law. Malahika Paulo scored three times and Catherine Hannaford made 16 saves for New London/St. Bernard (0-6).

    • Ledyard defeated Wheeler 18-7. Tatianna Iriziarry had six goals and five assists for the Colonels (4-2), while Maddie McLeod scored five times and Helena Robinson and Mackenzie Boyer scored three goals apiece. Sophia Gouveia had five goals for Wheeler (3-1).

    • Bethany Lovering scored four times and Fitch defeated Killingly 11-3. Brooke Bergendahl had three goals and three draw controls and Gabby Dimock scored twice for the Falcons (4-2).

    Boys

    • Tanner Kundhal had three goals and two assists and Ethan LoVetere added three goals and an assist as Bacon Academy held on for a 9-8 victory over Old Lyme. Troy Johnson, Jameson Pivro and Talan Ladyga scored one goal each for the Bobcats (3-1) and Chase Gouley made 13 saves for the victory. Mason Bussman had seven goals and one assist for Old Lyme (2-3).

    • Xavier defeated East Lyme 15-7. Jack Campbell and Juan Morales Jr. scored two goals apiece for the Vikings (4-2).

    • Hall defeated NFA 20-6. Logan Jenkins led NFA (3-5) with four goals and Gavin Jenins scored three.

    • Maclan Griscom, Nate Mahoney and Kyle Olsson had two goals each in Stonington’s 11-8 loss to Chariho. Cooper Light finished with two assists and Andrew Whitman recorded 11 saves for Stonington (5-3).
