Eastern Connecticut Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’ dances into the Garde
Eastern Connecticut Ballet’s version of “The Nutcracker” returns this weekend, with shows Saturday and Sunday at the Garde Arts Center.
The production features dancers from Eastern Connecticut Ballet in East Lyme, alongside guest artists from New York City Ballet — Unity Phelan and Indiana Woodward.
This version is set in 1850s New London, and it reflects the city’s nautical past. The sets feature lighthouses and Whale Oil row.
