The 210-foot Uruguayan Navy training ship Capitan Miranda arrived Friday morning at City Pier in New London, Connecticut for a weekend visit. The three masted schooner, built in 1930, left its home port of Montevideo in May for a five month cruise and stopped in Baltimore before coming to New London. The ship will be open for free tours Saturday and Sunday before departing Monday.
