Mohegan Sun Wolf Den twists with Chubby Checker

It's well-known that Chubby Checker had a huge hit with the song "The Twist." But you might not know this: that "The Twist" is credited with introducing the idea of partners dancing separately from each other and moving to the beat.

Concert-goers are sure to be doing exactly that when Chubby Checker plays the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den on Friday.

And fans won't have to restrict their shimmying and shaking to that tune. Checker has plenty of dance-happy numbers in his repertoire, including "The Hucklebuck," "Pony Time" and "Limbo Rock" from early in his career. And in 2008, he had a #1 song on the Billboard dance charts in 2008 with "Knock Down the Walls."
