Fifty boats — antique and classic vessels, all — will sail and motor up the Mystic River this weekend to be part of Mystic Seaport's Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous.

The contingent usually features an eye-catching array of sailboats and cruisers and runabouts. And they invariably are wonderfully restored and meticulously maintained.

This year's event will, in particular, honor Noank-built boats, with Mystic Seaport's Emma C. Berry the featured vessel in honor of its being 150 years since her launch.

One of the most popular parts of the rendezvous is the boat parade. The vessels and their costumed crews head back down the Mystic River at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, and people line the riverbanks to get a view of the impressive procession. Folks gathered at Mystic River Park can hear each vessel be announced as it glides under the Mystic River Bridge.

Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat. and 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sun., Mystic Seaport, Greenmanville Avenue; downriver parade at 12:30 p.m. Sun.; seaport admission $26 adults, $24 ages 65 and up, $17 ages 6-17, free for ages 5 and under; (860) 572-0711.
