MADD fundraiser features concert by Jameson Rodgers

    Jameson Rodgers (Andy Kropa, Invision/AP)

This year’s “MADD About” event at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den showcases a performance by country singer Jameson Rodgers, but as much as this Friday show provides entertainment, it’s really about raising funds for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.

About the music: Rodgers has had a long list of hits he's written for other artists (like Florida Georgia Line's "Talk You Out of It") before scaling the charts himself as a singer, with singles like "Cold Beer Calling My Name" and "Some Girls."

In addition to the concert, the "MADD About" benefit features a silent auction at The Shops at Mohegan Sun starting at noon Friday and continuing through the night. A guitar signed by Adam Levine of Maroon 5 is one of the items up for bid. Donations to MADD will also be accepted at the auction table.

People must be at least 21 years old to get into the Wolf Den and can line up for entry no more than three hours ahead of showtime.
